The Manitoba government is hosting a provincewide hiring forum aimed at helping nurses and health-care aides enter the workforce more quickly.

The “Make it in Manitoba: Nurse and Health-Care Aide Hiring Forum” will take place April 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Winnipeg’s RBC Convention Centre.

The one-day event will bring together health-care employers from across the province, including opportunities in rural and northern communities. Attendees will be able to meet with employers, take part in on-site interviews where available, and learn more about positions in high-demand clinical areas.

Officials say the forum will also highlight training and support programs, including the Nurse Re-Entry Program at Red River College Polytech, aimed at helping nurses transition into practice or return to the field.
