Six new mini cabins are coming to St. Malo Provincial Park this summer, the Manitoba government has announced.
The cabins are currently under construction in the Sunset Shores area of the park and are expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Each cabin will include beds, an outdoor cooking area, and electrical connections — similar to existing yurts in the provincial park system. Guests will need to bring their own bedding and cooking equipment.
Bookings will be available through Manitoba Parks’ reservation service once construction wraps up. Nightly rates are set at $89.60 including tax, with a maximum stay of seven nights.
St. Malo is also getting a new modern washroom on the main beach, which opened earlier this spring, replacing an older facility. The province says the combined investment in the cabins and washroom totals $2.5 million.
