Munroe Library at 489 London St. is temporarily closed while crews repair damage caused by a burst water pipe above the washroom area.

The City of Winnipeg says the branch is expected to reopen in mid-to-late August.

The city says water damage was limited to the washroom and surrounding area. Crews are removing affected building materials, drying the area, and will then replace insulation and drywall, repaint, and clean the carpet.

Customers with materials on hold can pick them up at Henderson Library, 1-1050 Henderson Hwy. Borrowed items can be returned to any branch or through the after-hours return at Munroe Library.
