Winnipeg’s iconic revolving restaurant space is reopening downtown after sitting vacant for years.
A notice of a liquor licence application has been posted on the door of Fort Garry Place to operate Dos Pampas Skyline Restaurant on the 30th floor.
The former Prairie 360 revolving restaurant, located at 83 Garry Street, closed during the pandemic in 2020.
The liquor licence application was filed on behalf of 10265886 Manitoba Ltd. with Alfonso Maury and Roxana Maury listed as directors. According to records, Alfonso owns La Pampa Empanadas Gourmet and is the former owner of Corrientes Argentine Pizzeria, as well as the former general manager and executive chef of Prairie 360.
Job postings for a restaurant and bar manager have been posted online, with an anticipated starting date for those positions listed as September 10.
An industry source tells ChrisD.ca that Dos Pampas is aiming for an October or November opening.
