Judge's Decision

The first and only sitting family court judge to write a book for the public will give a free lecture this afternoon at the University of Manitoba.

Justice Harvey Brownstone has become the most famous judge in Canada, as being one of very few to do media interviews and public speaking engagements.

His book titled “Tug of War” was put on the best seller list six weeks after its February 2009 release. The book has been nominated for five literary awards and is in its third printing.

Justice Brownstone’s lecture, “Justice Unleashed: Bringing the Law to the Masses,” will take place at 12 p.m. in the Moot Court Room at the Faculty of Law building (Robson Hall) on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus.

All are welcome to attend.
