CURVE 94.3’s Jay Richardson Conquers the Drop Zone

It might not look like a big building compared to the office towers that surround it, but the RBC Building at 200 Portage Avenue is still intimidating when looking 17 stories down.

On Thursday, over 100 brave participants rappelled down the side of the building in the sixth annual Drop Zone event in support of SMD Foundation/Easter Seals Manitoba.

We asked CURVE 94.3’s Jay Richardson to wear a POV camera and wireless mic for ChrisD.ca as he rappelled down to the ground below. This was Jay’s second year in a row, so it was a piece of cake for him. Many other media personalities also suited up, including CTV’s Gord Leclerc and Global TV’s Nicole Dubé.

More than $130,000 was expected to be raised in this year’s event, which goes to help Manitobans living with disabilities.
