Rock star Gene Simmons will be one province over this week to take part in a hockey game in Saskatoon.

The KISS bassist will bring his reality TV crew to film in the city from November 12 to 15.

On Friday, Simmons will suit up as a goalie during an intermission shootout at Credit Union Centre in a game between the Saskatoon Blades and Portland Winterhawks.

Simmons’ longtime Canadian girlfriend, Shannon Tweed, attended Mount Royal Collegiate, where producers will be filming the other part of their visit. A call for Mount Royal alumni was put out earlier last week to round up former students from 1972 to 1975.

Tweed has also been invited to perform the ceremonial faceoff at Friday’s hockey game.

Footage from the Simmons’ Saskatoon visit will air on the A&E reality show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” in the early spring of 2011.
