Businessman David Asper will be involved with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after all.
On Friday, the football club announced Asper had been appointed to the Board of Directors, one of two additions alongside Phil Sheegl.
Asper and his company, Creswin Properties, were recently cut from the new stadium construction deal after cost overruns inflated the price tag to $190 million.
Sheegl is currently the deputy chief administrative officer with the City of Winnipeg and serves on a number of boards at organizations in the city.
