The 2011 TD Winnipeg Jazz Festival kicks off tomorrow, opening up a full weekend of jazz music to fill downtown Winnipeg.
A series of free concerts will be held in Old Market Square beginning Thursday and running through Sunday.
Opening day entertainment will feature Trio Bembe, De La Rosa, Marco Castillo and the Brazilian Beats and Papa Mambo.
Besides the free shows, a club series featuring a roster of artists will be held at venues across the city, including at Aqua Books, The Pyramid Cabaret, Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club, the King’s Head Pub, the Winnipeg Free Press News Café and Le Garage Café.
