As part of the Pay It Forward social to honour former Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive live coach Richard Harris, a teddy bear drive is being organized.

Donations can be made on Wednesday at Grant Park Shopping Centre, Thursday at Garden City Shopping Centre, and Friday at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre. All three locations will accept bears from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The teddy bears will be distributed through the Children’s Hospital, Osborne House and other local charities.

Anyone who makes a donation will be entered in daily prize draws, including the chance to win tickets to a Winnipeg Blue Bombers home game.

The Pay It Forward social on Saturday will benefit the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Football Manitoba. Coach Harris passed away July 26 after suffering a heart attack in his office.
