The Asper School of Business is hosting a public forum today on economic inequality and business.
The recent “Occupy” movements across the world have sparked the discussion, which will focus on the relationship between businesses and societal inequality. The public forum will feature panels of experts speaking on the issue, followed by a moderated discussion with the audience.
The first forum took place Thursday, with the second being held this afternoon on the University of Manitoba’s Fort Garry campus.
Panelists for the 2:30 p.m. discussion include Brent Bailey of the Winnipeg Foundation, Palliser Furniture president and CEO Art DeFehr, U of M president and vice-chancellor David Barnard, and others.
Refreshments will be served at the forum, which is being held in Room 343 of the Drake Centre, 181 Freedman Crescent.
Due to limited seating, attendees are asked to RSVP to (204) 474-6482 or e-mail scott_mcculloch@umanitoba.ca.
