Jets’ Play-by-Play Simulcasting to FM Frequency

December 23, 2011 7:24 AM | Sports

If attending a Winnipeg Jets game in-person is in your future, but you miss the play-by-play as heard on TSN Radio 1290, you can now have the best of both worlds.

The Bell Media-owned radio station is now broadcasting its game day play-by-play coverage with host Brian Munz simultaneously on 106.7 FM. The secondary frequency allows for a clearer signal, and also raises the number of  fans in the stands wearing earbuds with portable radios in their pockets.

The short signal frequency will only be accessible from within the walls at MTS Centre. A TSN spokesperson confirmed the frequency will also carry the pre- and post-game show.
