The Forks will see an influx of hubbub this weekend as Agriculture in the City returns for a seventh year.
The free, three-day event — running today until Sunday — will offer visitors a rich, colourful glimpse inside one of Canada’s most vibrant industries through interactive exhibits, presentations, activities and cooking demonstrations.
Components will include educational displays on the food we eat, how it’s prepared for consumption and what the industry brings to the dinner table.
Kids can interact with life-sized model farm animals, experience a taste of the farm with the Ag on the MOOve display, and check out the bio-diesel van from the Canadian International Grains Institute (CIGI).
A schedule of activities is available at Aginthecity.ca.
