Kenya’s Thomas Omwenga was the big winner at Sunday’s 34th Manitoba Marathon — placing first with a time of 2:25.13.
Brian Walker of Winnipeg finished second with a time of 2:33.18, while Bradley Keefe, also of Winnipeg, placed third with a time of 2:37.40.
Anna Kibor of Kenya was the first woman to cross the finish line with a time of 2:49.45.
Winnipeg’s Corey Gallagher won the men’s half marathon with an unofficial time of 1:10.13.
More than 13,000 runners were registered for the annual marathon, which fundraises for programs that support Manitobans living with disabilities.
