Two local hockey heroes will lend their time to a great cause this weekend to promote the upcoming Movember initiative.
Three-time Olympic gold medallist Jennifer Botterill and three-time Stanley Cup champion Mike Keane will be signing autographs at Source for Sports, 19-2077 Pembina Highway, from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 21.
“We’re very pleased to be bringing Jen and Mike to Source for Sports for this unique event,” said Jamie Hopkins, co-chair of Movember Winnipeg. “We know Winnipeggers are dedicated to our cause and we wanted to put this afternoon together as a thank you for their continued support.”
The afternoon will be the first opportunity for anyone interested in Movember to sign up and grow their facial hair in support of raising awareness and funds to fight a number of cancers affecting men.
