An autographed guitar signed by Jazz legend George Benson is one of the grand prizes at the upcoming fourth annual Rent Party.
dig! magazine is marking a decade of sharing jazz news with Winnipeg readers on November 7 at the Park Theatre. Featuring live jazz and prizes, the night’s proceeds will go towards funding the local jazz publication.
The guitar was built by a student who participate in the B.O.S.S. program at Selkirk Junior High and was signed by Benson at this year’s TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival.
The night’s entertainment will include Quincy Davis and Promise, the Alumni All-Stars, and the U of M Jazz Faculty.
Tickets are $30 at the door or $25 in advance by phone at (204) 989-4656, in-person at the Jazz Winnipeg office (007-100 Arthur St.) and the Park Theatre.
