A weekend of music, food and good company on the banks of the Red River this weekend will benefit two local charities.
Rockin’ On The Red at the Half Moon Drive In in Lockport is July 12-13.
Two 50/50 draws will take place with half of the proceeds going towards the Children’s Rehab Foundation and the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Saturday’s draw will go towards purchasing a bike for a girl living in east Selkirk. The bike will assist with her rehab by allowing her to incorporate exercise and recreation into time doing activities with friends.
Proceeds from Sunday’s draw will help the Children’s Wish Foundation make 18-year-old Landon’s wish visit Disney World come true. Landon was born with a combination of four birth conditions but with his fighting spirit, he continues to get stronger each day and is looking forward to the trip to Orlando.
The 50/50 draws will be on from noon to 9 p.m. each day with the daily winner announced at 10 p.m.
