The Buhler Gallery at St. Boniface Hospital is launching its seventh season with artwork from two contemporary internationally acclaimed Canadian artists, Roberta Bondar and Carole Sabiston.

“Dreams & Realities — Human Sensitivity of Place” will feature work from the two artists, who will attend a reception in their honour at the gallery tonight at 7:30 p.m.

“We are thrilled to launch our seventh season with an exhibit featuring the work of these two major artists,” said Patricia Bovey, project lead of the Buhler Gallery. “While their approaches are unique, their work explores their joy and concern for the rarities and vulnerabilities of our planet. They explore the beauty and fragility of Canada through their art.”

The exhibit opens to the public on Friday. Both Bondar and Sabiston will be on hand at the gallery for an “Artists Walk and Talk” at 1:30 p.m.

The exhibit will be on display until January 11, 2015.
