Manitoba indie band The Bros. Landreth have a starring role in the latest TV commercial by MTS.

The telecommunications company has recruited the band for a cover of Cole Porter’s classic “Don’t Fence Me In” to promote its Total Internet plan.

“When MTS approached us about covering Cole Porter for them, we jumped at the opportunity,” said lead singer Joey Landreth. “We’re big fans of the original song, so we’re very grateful to MTS for the chance to put our spin on it and share our sound with Manitobans across the province.”

The band most recently partnered with Spotify to release a new EP titled ‘Undercover Bros.’ on October 9. The collection will include covers of some of the band’s favourite songs, with one song being rolled out each week until November 7.

The Bros. Landreth is in the middle of its North American tour, which they kicked off October 17 for a hometown audience at the Burton Cummings Theatre.
