Siloam Mission, 300 Princess Street (HANDOUT)
Manitoba medical students, resident doctors and full-time physicians will lend a hand at Siloam Mission today.
As part of national Resident Awareness Week, the medical profession is pitching in at the Winnipeg homeless shelter by helping in the kitchen, sorting donations and helping with financial contributions.
Resident Awareness Week is a national campaign that takes place each year in February to help raise awareness of the important contribution that residents make to the health of communities in Canada.
On Tuesday, Siloam Mission announced it would begin accepting Canadian Tire money as donations, which the retailer will match up to $5,000.
