Easter weekend will be a busy time at Assiniboine Park Zoo, with seasonal activities planned daily for visitors of all ages.
With students out of school next week, the zoo is also planning several seasonal offerings to keep kids busy and entertained.
“Spring break is a great time to rediscover the zoo and we’re looking forward to celebrating Easter with lots of fun activities for kids of all ages,” said Gary Lunsford, head of zoological operations at the Assiniboine Park Zoo.
“We hope visitors will learn about our extraordinary animals and the different wildlife conservation efforts taking place at the zoo.”
From Friday, March 25 through Sunday April 3, zoo visitors can take part in daily zookeeper talks, papier-mâché Easter eggs, Easter photos with polar bear mascot Winston and the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt and a festive colouring contest.
The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Friday.
