WINNIPEG — A new mountain bike venue at FortWhyte Alive will leave a legacy following the 2017 Canada Summer Games.

The Bison Butte Mountain Bike Course is the first mountain bike venue to meet national standards in central Canada.

The course provides a series of intricate connecting loops that offers three levels of difficulty for competitors.

Mountain biking is scheduled for the first week of the Games, July 29 to August 4, 2017.

The Manitoba Cycling Association will have an increased capacity to host elite competitions and develop all levels of the sport once the Games wrap up.
