Direct air service from Brandon to Toronto won’t be part of WestJet’s upcoming 2016-17 winter schedule.
Brandon had a direct flight to Toronto four days a week on a two-month trial over the summer months. In late July, the Calgary-based airline announced it planned to offer the route year-round beginning in late October.
The airline says bookings for the route have been sluggish and therefore cancelled. Those who have already booked tickets will be contacted by WestJet to make alternate arrangements.
WestJet still maintains a daily Brandon-Calgary route, and will offer a late night return route three times a week beginning October 23.
