Man on Bike Charged in Ellice Avenue Assault

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — A 32-year-old man has been charged after two people were found injured in the 300 block of Ellice Avenue early Friday.

Winnipeg police say a 42-year-old man suffered upper body injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition. A 39-year-old woman was also injured and needed treatment.

Police caught up to the suspect leaving the area on a bike at around 1:25 a.m.

He has been charged with assault relating to the injuries of the female victim, but the investigation is continuing surrounding the circumstances of the injuries man.
