Speed is believed to have been a factor in a fatal rollover crash that killed a 78-year-old Winnipeg woman on Sunday afternoon.
RCMP say an SUV swerved and rolled several times at around 3:30 p.m. while travelling on Highway 59 just north of Provincial Road 201.
Seven women were in the vehicle at the time. Four passengers were ejected, while one woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The ages of the occupants were 60, 61, 61, 73, 75, 78 and 81. The remaining six women were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
