Girl, 2, Struck and Killed by Vehicle in La Broquerie Driveway

Speeding Motorcycles Seized After RCMP Nab Drivers

Two motorcycles were seized last weekend after Steinbach RCMP clocked both of them excessively speeding.

Police were on patrol May 11 when they caught a motorcyclist travelling 202 km/h in a 100 km/h on Highway 52 between La Broquerie and Steinbach.

Child, 3, Drowns in Nopiming Provincial Park

RCMP Logo VehicleA three-year-old boy drowned Saturday while playing near a body of water in Nopiming Provincial Park.

RCMP say the child was camping with family when he wandered away from playing with a group of children. His family quickly noticed he was gone and tried to revive him until first responders arrived at the Tulabi Falls Campground.

The child was later pronounced deceased. His death is not considered suspicious.

RCMP in Churchill, Manitoba arrested a woman last weekend and charged her with numerous drug offences.

Officers executed a search warrant on May 5 at a home on Radisson Street, where they found 37 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, a large sum of Canadian currency and various drug paraphernalia.

NELSON HOUSE, Man. – A Manitoba chief is calling for bike paths along an unpaved road into the northern community where three young boys were killed by an alleged drunk driver.

Mattheo Moore-Spence, 11; Terrence Spence, 13; and Keethan Lobster, 11, were walking and riding bikes April 28 when they were hit on the road near Nelson House, about 850 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
