WINNIPEG — A 34-year-old man was stabbed Saturday morning after running away from two men who were trying to rob him.
The victim was in the 700 block of Victor Street at around 11 a.m. when two men confronted him and demanded his property.
After he fled, the suspects caught up to him and pepper-sprayed him before stabbing him in the lower body, police say.
The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition after being able to call 911. The suspects were arrested in the area a short time later.
A 26-year-old man and 28-year-old man have been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.
They remain in custody.
