Winnipeg’s favourite built-on-the-river-ice restaurant is back for another season.
RAW:almond returns in 2017 with a brand new innovative design and dining menu, treating those who visit with the delicious fare of 26 world-class chefs.
The pop-up river restaurant is the genius idea of deer + almond chef Mandel Hitzer and designer Joe Kalturnyk.
This year’s five-course tasting menus will span three weeks, running January 20 to February 13, 2017.
Patrons can purchase their tickets online this year instead of waiting in lines at deer + almond when tickets have gone on sale in the past. A total of 2,500 individual tickets are available for 63 seatings over 21 days. Tickets are $125 each, plus a 17 percent service fee (tip) and 13 percent PST/GST ($162.50 total).
Ticket sales start Sunday, December 11 with a live personalized ticket launch event at The Forks Market (doors opening at 7 a.m. for the 9 a.m sale), followed by an online ticket store opening Monday, December 12 at 9 a.m.
The ticket includes the unique RAW:almond experience and tasting menu, with optional drinks available for purchase including a signature Belvedere Vodka cocktail.
