The Manitoba Legislative Building is already open to the public, but on Saturday, Premier Brian Pallister and the legislative assembly will welcome all Manitobans to the building’s open house.

Pallister says the event is an opportunity to visit their elected representatives for an afternoon of festive cheer.

Piper Dennis T. Schindler and the St. Andrews Pipe Band of Winnipeg, Balmoral Hall, Wayoata Elementary School, George Waters Middle School, Windsor School, Collège Jeanne-Sauvé and Fort Richmond Collegiate’s French Horn Trio will provide entertainment.

Wandering carolers Aislynne and Kirsten and Wing and a Prayer will be heard throughout the building. The annual tradition of an MLA choir led by the Speaker will continue.

Visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Christmas Cheer Board.

The open house runs December 2 from 1-3 p.m.
