Manitoba Moose Paying Special Visit to Assiniboine Park Zoo

Manitoba MooseWINNIPEG — Players from the Manitoba Moose will unveil a special edition polar bear jersey the team will wear later this season during a visit to the Assiniboine Park Zoo on Sunday afternoon.

The Moose are also presenting zoo officials with a cheque for $5,793.72 raised from the auction of the team’s polar bear themed jerseys worn last season on February 3, 2017.

The Moose will wear their new jerseys during a game against the Iowa Wild on Sunday, January 14. Proceeds from the game-worn auction will be donated to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s Polar Bear Rescue Team.

Players will also be on hand to greet visitors to the zoo in the Journey to Churchill exhibit.

Sunday’s event runs from 2-3:30 p.m.
