An Easter dinner will treat 250 people from Winnipeg’s downtown this evening at Lighthouse Mission.
The organization is hosting a dinner and church service at 6 p.m. at 669 Main Street.
The soup kitchen feeds 300 people a day throughout the week, providing food, warmth, friendship, spiritual guidance and support to Winnipeg’s less fortunate.
Donations of food are needed year-round. To learn more and make a contribution, visit LighthouseMission.ca.
Nearby at Siloam Mission, the shelter will host its Easter meal at noon on Monday. Members of the Manitoba Real Estate Association will join other volunteers to help serve.
