A new vendor market curated by luckygirl POPUP is part of this year’s Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival.

The vendor market is the latest addition to the Fringe Festival, featuring 22 vendors each day on Arthur Street across from Old Market Square. Items include an eclectic range of local crafts, clothing, art, jewellery and more. The market will run July 20-21 and July 27-28 from 3-9 p.m.

Also new this year is supervised bike parking at Lily Street and James Avenue behind the Centennial Concert Hall. Festival-goers can park their rides and feel safe knowing they will be there with they return. Parking is available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. every day of the festival.

Organizers have also set aside a limited number of seats in venues for patrons with mobility challenges, or who are low vision/blind, hard of hearing/deaf or pregnant. These patrons are asked to check in 30 minutes in advance.

The festival celebrates its 32nd year in Winnipeg July 17-28, welcoming 180 performing companies in 31 venues from across Canada and the world.

Tickets and passes are available at WinnipegFringe.com or in person at 174 Market Avenue. Prices are $12 for adults and $6 for children (12 and under) at the Kids Venue. Programs are available for only $5 at Manitoba Liquor Marts, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre and McNally Robinson Booksellers.

Volunteer applications are still being accepted until July 12. Email volunteers@winnipegfringe.com.
