Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Inviting Citizens to ‘Make Stuff Happen’

Downtown Winnipeg BIZ - Make Stuff Happen

The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ wants Winnipeggers to “make stuff happen” and is inviting citizens to help shape the future of the city’s downtown.

“There are a lot of conversations right now about what downtown Winnipeg needs,” said Kate Fenske, CEO of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.

“With recent announcements including a new commercial office tower, a potential significant investment in Portage Place and other projects already under construction, it’s the perfect time to talk about downtown’s future and how our team can contribute to its success.”

The BIZ is looking for input on topics such as safety, usage, transportation, perceptions and priorities.

Over the next month, Winnipeggers can share their vision online, at the Idea Pop Up activation in Portage Place this week (unit 137 facing Portage Avenue), or connect with the BIZ at a number of its summer events.

Those who share an idea will be entered to win one of five $100 gift cards to a downtown Winnipeg business of their choice.
