Winnipeg’s Richardson International Airport is preparing for a live emergency exercise on Tuesday involving a simulated incident on the airfield.
The Winnipeg Airports Authority says the exercise will enable airport and emergency response personnel to review and practise emergency response procedures in a safe and controlled environment.
The timing and location of the exercise aren’t being revealed in order to maintain learning outcomes for those involved.
The airport will remain open during the exercise, and emergency response services will be available at all times in the event of a real incident at the airport.
