Manitoba RCMP are investigating the death of a man due to exposure in South Indian Lake.
Police were called to a home in the community on Thursday evening for a disturbance.
Officers were told a 26-year-old man from the community was outside the residence trying to get in, but fled on foot before police arrived.
A search for the man continued throughout the evening, but he couldn’t be located.
On Friday at around 10:10 p.m., the man was found deceased approximately five kilometres from town on the shore of South Island.
Police don’t suspect criminality in the death, but the investigation remains ongoing pending autopsy results.
