Manitoba RCMP say one woman has died after being ejected from an ATV that rolled last weekend in the RM of Riding Mountain West.

Police were called to the Kilman Cottage area at around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday where a side-by-side vehicle crashed.

RCMP say the vehicle, being driven by a 19-year-old man from Langenburg, Sask., lost control and rolled.

A 19-year-old Killaly, Sask. woman riding as a passenger was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver, along with a 19-year-old male passenger from Churchbridge, Sask., were uninjured.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving causing death. He was transported to the local RCMP detachment where he provided breath samples. He was released from custody to appear in court in Russell on October 23.

It’s believed none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts or helmets at the time of the collision.

RCMP continue to investigate.
