Manitoba RCMP say a child has died after being hit by a pickup truck in Gods Lake Narrows.

Mounties responded to the community’s nursing station on Thursday afternoon, where they found a one-year-old boy deceased.

Police have determined a 45-year-old man was driving the vehicle when it struck the child on the driveway of his residence, causing severe injuries. The driver of the truck, who also resides at the home, immediately rushed the child to the nursing station.

The investigation is continuing and no charges have been laid.
