The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced changes to operating hours at 35 land border crossings nationwide, including across Manitoba.
Effective January 6, 2025, the adjustments are being made in collaboration with the United States, aiming to enhance border security and improve the efficient allocation of resources at high-traffic locations.
According to the CBSA, the revised hours reflect an analysis of traffic patterns, with most affected ports processing an average of fewer than two vehicles per hour during the periods that will now be closed. Alternative border crossings are available within 100 kilometres for travellers and commercial vehicles.
