Two former employees of a Winnipeg-based private security company have been charged following a payroll fraud investigation by police.

The investigation began in early 2024 after the company owner reported suspicious payroll activities spanning from May 2022 to August 2023. It was revealed that the staffing manager, with the assistance of the operations manager overseeing payroll, inflated his work hours, leading to over $72,000 in excess pay.
