Winnipeg police arrested a man on Saturday night after a 20-minute pursuit involving a stolen car and stolen license plates.
Around 11:10 p.m., officers spotted a black Honda Civic with stolen plates on Powers Street. The driver fled when police attempted a stop, driving dangerously through city streets. Air 1 tracked the vehicle, leading ground units to the 100 block of Clearwater Road, where the suspect was arrested without injuries reported.
The suspect, Ian Thomas Langridge, 47, was allegedly found with methamphetamine and fentanyl worth $630. The vehicle had been reported stolen on December 24, and the plates were taken days later from the Fort Richmond area.
Langridge faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving, possession of stolen property, and drug possession. He also had an outstanding warrant and remains in custody.
