The Winnipeg Jets’ wives and girlfriends are teaming up with the Winnipeg Humane Society to host a pet food drive during the Jets’ game on January 24.

Fans attending the game at Canada Life Centre are encouraged to bring pet food donations, which can be dropped off upon entry.

As a thank-you, donors will be entered into a draw for a post-game meet-and-greet with Jets players Mark Scheifele, Nino Niederreiter, Mason Appleton, and Neal Pionk.

“We want to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Winnipeg Jets’ wives and girlfriends for organizing this pet food drive to support the WHS Pet Food Bank,” said Danisha Jarrett, director of community outreach at Winnipeg Humane Society.

“With their help, we can continue to serve the more than 100 families who access it each month. This program is vital to helping us keep pets and their families together.”

A portion of the collected pet food will also support the WHS One Health program, which helps distribute resources to remote and northern communities struggling with pet food scarcity.
