The Winnipeg Folk Festival is set to mark its 50th anniversary with a diverse selection of local, sustainable, and ethical food choices.
The festival has partnered with Manitoban food vendors to offer a wide selection of enticing options for this summer’s four-day event.
“We are committed to bringing our audience delicious and sustainable local food options,” said Valerie Shantz, WFF executive director.
“Our food philosophy is to promote LOFT — Local, Organic, and Fair Trade – and this year’s food vendors embody that vision. Folks will be able to nourish their bodies with good food while nourishing their souls with good music.”
Several longtime festival vendors are also celebrating milestones, including Santa Lucia (31 years), East India Co. (24 years), and Gramma’s Kettle Korn and Lemon Heaven (20 years each). Attendees can enjoy a mix of comfort foods, grab-and-go snacks, and a variety of global flavours, including Argentinian, Indian, Italian, and Jamaican cuisine, with vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore-friendly options available.
The full list of 2025 food vendors is now available online. This year’s Winnipeg Folk Festival runs July 10-13 in Birds Hill Provincial Park.
