WINNIPEG — Manitoba Opera has announced its 2025/26 season, promising audiences a mix of high-stakes drama and comedic intrigue with two iconic operas — Puccini’s Tosca and Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.
The season opens with Tosca on November 22, 26, and 28, 2025, delivering an electrifying tale of love, jealousy, and betrayal. In the spring, The Marriage of Figaro will take the stage on April 18, 22, and 24, 2026, bringing a whirlwind of romance, wit, and mistaken identities.
“Opera is a world of passion, power, and intrigue, and our 2025/26 season is brimming with all three,” said Larry Desrochers, general director and CEO.
“Whether you crave high-stakes drama or delightful mischief, we have two extraordinary productions that promise unforgettable nights at the opera.”
Both operas will be performed in Italian with projected English translations at the Centennial Concert Hall.
