The Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG)-Qaumajuq is partnering with the Flash Photography Festival to celebrate its 10th anniversary this month.

As part of the festival, WAG-Qaumajuq will screen “All the Beauty and the Bloodshed” on April 8 (tickets) and host an artist tour of “MOTHERGROUND” with Dominique Rey (more info) on April 13. Rey’s exhibition, exploring motherhood and creative labour, has been extended until June 28, 2025.

“This is Manitoba’s largest celebration of photography and an amazing opportunity for the community to experience the incredible work of local photographers,” said Stephen Borys, director and CEO, WAG-Qaumajuq. “We’re thrilled to include Dominique Rey’s MOTHERGROUND exhibition as part of the programming.”

The Flash Photography Festival, running April 1-30, will feature expanded programming with 56 venues, including rural and northern galleries. Since 2014, the festival has brought together photographers of all levels to showcase their work across Manitoba.
