Winnipeg police have charged a 56-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of Brenton Sean Paul Harper earlier this month.
On April 22, officers arrested Christopher Erickson in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Rothesay Street. He has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody.
Harper, 30, was found with gunshot wounds in the 400 block of Agnes Street shortly before 1 a.m. on April 1. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. Harper was a member of Garden Hill First Nation and lived in Winnipeg.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
