A 43-year-old man is in custody following a firearms incident Saturday afternoon in Winnipeg’s Centennial neighbourhood.
Police were called to the 100 block of Kate Street around 2:30 p.m. after reports of a man outside a residence loading a firearm. When officers arrived, the suspect retreated into the home.
Police were able to safely arrest the man without incident. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Frank Joseph Roussin, 43, of Winnipeg, faces multiple charges, including possession of a weapon, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, and possession of a firearm obtained by crime. He remains in custody.
