The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed quarterback Zach Collaros to a one-year contract extension, securing the veteran pivot through the 2026 CFL season.
Collaros, entering his sixth year with Winnipeg, led the Bombers to five straight Grey Cup appearances and winning championships in 2019 and 2021. The two-time CFL Most Outstanding Player (2021, 2022) has helped the team go 57-18 in his starts since joining in 2019.
Last season, Collaros posted a career-best 4,336 passing yards, including a six-touchdown performance against Edmonton. He currently ranks third in franchise history for regular-season wins (49) and fifth in passing yards (16,177).
Collaros will miss the team’s first game of the 2025 CFL season due to a one-game suspension for failing to respond to an offseason drug test request. The suspension was issued after Collaros did not reply within the required 24-hour period to multiple contact attempts by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.
