Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open its first Canadian location in Winnipeg on Tuesday, June 3. (HANDOUT)
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is set to open its first Canadian location in Winnipeg next week.
The U.S.-based fast-casual chain has partnered with North 49 Frozen Custard and Steakburgers under a Canadian master franchise agreement. The Manitoba franchise will be operated by John Hall and Turner Ethans when it opens on June 3 at Unit 1000 – 1615 Regent Avenue in Winnipeg’s Kildonan Crossing area.
Known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers, hot dogs, shoestring fries and frozen custard desserts, the restaurant will also offer drive-thru service and mobile ordering.
This marks Freddy’s first foray into the Canadian market. The company says it aims to deliver fresh food and a clean, welcoming environment for diners.
“We’re thrilled to enter the Canadian market with our first location in Kildonan Crossing,” said Hall, in a release. “Our convenient location makes us an easily accessible dining option for guests travelling by Regent Avenue and Lagimodière Boulevard, as well as guests looking for a great place to eat after shopping at our retail neighbours.”
Hours of operation will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
