Manitoba RCMP have arrested a 38-year-old woman following an incident involving a firearm in McCreary.

Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a report of a woman pointing a gun inside a residence on 4th Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. Police say the suspect, known to the homeowner, assaulted a 30-year-old woman and her two children before threatening them with a firearm. The victims escaped to a neighbour’s home to call police.

Officers, with the help of a police dog and drone unit, located the suspect on Broderick Street and arrested her without incident. A firearm was not recovered.

Lacey Campbell, 38, faces multiple charges including assault, pointing a firearm, uttering threats, and breaching an undertaking. She remains in custody pending a court appearance. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
