Brandon police responded to Neelin High School on Tuesday afternoon following an attack by a suspect wielding a sword.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested within minutes, and a 15-year-old male victim received medical attention.
Police say the victim sustained stab wounds to his chest, harms, forearms, and thighs.
The school was briefly placed under lockdown, which has since been lifted. Police say there is no ongoing threat to students, staff, or the community. Students were dismissed early to allow for continued investigation and support.
The incident remains under active investigation.
